Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

Position Summary: Receptionist/Administrative Assistant will be the first point of contact with customers. This individual will perform essential front desk and administrative duties, including answering phones and directing phone calls, responding to inquiries, and providing support to the CFO and HR Manager.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and listening skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel
  • Proficient database application software experience
  • Knowledge of Pro Contractor by Viewpoint preferred
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem solve
  • Self-starter and dependable
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Construction industry experience preferred
  • Ability to work with confidential information

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones, greet customers, and direct accordingly
  • Collect and distribute mail
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Maintain printer usage, postage downloads, and prepare and stamp mail
  • Scan AP invoices
  • Process customer credit applications
  • Oversee employment applications and process new hire paperwork
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as needed

CDL Driver

Position Summary: The CDL Driver will load, transport, and unload materials to and from work sites, operating various equipment safely, and performing basic maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid Class A or B CDL License
  • Excellent driving record
  • 1-2 years of road construction experience preferred
  • Safety and detail-oriented
  • Experience operating construction equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. for extended periods
  • Flexible and adaptable to change

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Transport materials, equipment, and vehicles to job sites
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Load and manually lift materials
  • Keep vehicles and job sites clean
  • Perform basic repairs as needed

Acting Foreman

Position Summary: San Bar Construction Corp. is seeking an Acting Foreman (Foreman-in-Training) to work under an experienced Foreman in overseeing highway construction crews. This role is a structured development position designed to provide hands-on leadership experience in guardrail installation, sign installation, and highway striping operations. During the training period, the Acting Foreman will assist with supervising daily crew activities, coordinating tasks, managing documentation, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. This position serves as a direct pathway to a Foreman role, offering hands-on training, mentorship, and increasing responsibility, with advancement based on performance and readiness to independently manage crews and projects.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of highway construction experience preferred
  • Previous experience as a lead or senior crew member strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience in guardrail, sign installation, or striping operations
  • Strong willingness to learn leadership and crew management
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift heavy materials
  • Experience operating construction equipment and hydraulic tools preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Solid understanding of construction processes and jobsite safety
  • Valid driver’s license required

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Foreman in coordinating daily crew activities based on project plans
  • Help adjust work plans based on weather, site conditions, and staffing needs
  • Support delegation of tasks and responsibilities to crew members
  • Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and layouts
  • Lead by example in safety, productivity, and quality workmanship
  • Assist in training crew members on installation techniques and procedures
  • Monitor project progress to meet timelines and production goals
  • Support equipment management, including safe operation and maintenance
  • Maintain accurate documentation and jobsite records
  • Ensure job sites remain safe, clean, and compliant with safety standards
